Your first visit, in order
About 75 minutes. Later visits are about 50.
- 01
Step 1: You arrive and settle
There is no waiting room crowd: Anahit sees one person at a time. A cup of tea is on the table.
- 02
Step 2: We talk
How you sleep, what your days are like, what you take and who your doctor is. You can skip anything.
- 03
Step 3: Anahit explains and begins
She explains the risks and what she plans to do, and answers your questions before any needle goes in.
- 04
Step 4: You rest
About 25 minutes on the table, under a blanket, with a bell within reach.
- 05
Step 5: We plan the next visits
A short plan, a few things to try at home, and a clear line on when to call your doctor.
What to wear, eat and bring
Wear loose clothing
Sleeves and trouser legs that roll up. You stay dressed.
Eat something light
Not hungry and not full, an hour or two before.
Bring your list
Everything you take, and your doctor's name.
Plan a quiet hour
You may feel sleepy afterward, so leave time.
Tell us first
Anahit asks about each of these before she starts.
Pregnancy
Tell us if you are pregnant or might be. Some points are left alone, and we plan the visit around it.
Blood thinners
Tell us about any blood thinner or a bleeding disorder. It changes how we place needles and how long we press afterward.
A pacemaker
Tell us if you have a pacemaker or another implant. We do not use electrical stimulation with one.
Lymph nodes removed
If lymph nodes were removed on one side, we keep needles out of that arm or leg.
Medicines and supplements
Bring a list of everything you take, including hormone therapy, so we know what your doctor has in place.
Nerves about needles
Say so early. We can start with fewer needles, go slowly or begin with ear seeds, and you can stop at any point.
Book a first visit
Fees are explained on one page, and you get a written estimate before your first visit.
